Does it still flush in a power outage?

It depends on the model. The HALO 821 has a built-in water tank and keeps flushing when the power is out. Tankless models depend on line pressure and an electric pump, so in an outage they will not flush normally. If outages are common where you live, buy a model with a tank.

Will it work on my water pressure?

Tank models work on low pressure, including upper floors of high-rise buildings, because the tank fills slowly and flushes from stored water. Tankless models want normal municipal pressure. If you are on a well or the top floor of an older building, choose a tank model.

How much water does it use?

The HALO 866 flushes at 1.11 gallons full and 0.92 gallons half. The HALO 809 flushes at 1.19 gallons. Both are under the 1.28 gallon federal maximum and under the California limit.

What plug does it use?

A standard US three-prong NEMA 5-15 plug, with an inline GFCI leakage protector built into the cord. It runs on ordinary 110V household power.

Will it fit my bathroom?

Halo units are built for the US standard 12 inch rough-in. Measure from the finished wall to the centre of the bolts on the floor before you order. See Installation.

Is the seat heated?

Yes, on every model, with adjustable temperature. Every model also has front and rear washing with adjustable nozzle position, adjustable water pressure and temperature, warm-air drying, a soft night light, a self-cleaning nozzle, and an energy-saving eco mode.

What is a foam shield?

A layer of foam laid on the water before use. It stops splashing and cuts odour considerably. It is a feature you normally only see on fixtures costing several times as much.

How long until I get mine?

A competent DIYer can do it in about two hours. If you need a new outlet or you are moving plumbing, hire a licensed trade. See Installation.
